 Vision

Ministry

This ministry seeks to reach those who are leaving our Connect ministry through their early 40’s.  Working together to attain the unity of the Spirit of God, we encourage each one to make a commitment to serve and to love.  We enjoy being together for fellowship, game nights, sings, service projects, mission trips foreign and domestic, as well as a host of other opportunities to share our lives with one another.  Whether you are single, married, single again, have children or don’t have children, you are invited to participate in this ever expanding ministry to meet one another’s needs.

The name 20/40 Vision implies three things.  This ministry seeks to reach a specific demographic in the Withamsville Church of Christ; namely those in the 20 to 40 year old age range.  This is not a hard set line, so if you are a little less than 20 or a little past 40, join us any way.  Secondly, we are reminded that the Scriptures teach us that without vision, we will certainly stumble and perish.  We have not arrived at our final destination yet, so we keep watchful and alert.  We seek the Lord’s will to accomplish all that pleases Him.  Finally, we look forward to the year 2040 and ask some difficult questions of ourselves.  Will the Lord give us this many more years to live and work out His plans?  Will we still have faith?  Will we have grown in our faith or will it be dead?  Will we be serving and leading, or still riding the pine?  What will be the direct results of what we are doing right now?

20/40 Mission Trip - PANAMA 2012: we are praying and planning for amission trip to Panama next July. the cost of the trip is estimated to be about $1,600-$2,000/person so it is likely to take some long-range preparations and budgeting. Give it thought and let Aaron know if you plan to go. (This trip is open to all WCoC members)
